Have there been bad releases, sure, but it's relatively rare, and probably caused by poor implementation, not necessarily because Denuvo is of the devil. ![]() Clearly not to the point where your casual gamer gets up in arms and demands the developers to drop it. In most games, perfomance hit has been insignificant. Just one day delay likely pays for the license thousandfold. Most/many sales happen during/around release day, and unless there were fuckups prior to release/implementation doesn't suck dick, it has delayed the crack days, if not more. With that it mind, it's pretty safe to say that it does work. But the publishers do, clearly choose to use it, and I trust them to know better than some stranger on the internet. I don't have them either to show that it does work. You don't have the numbers to show that it doesn't work. It's been proven not to work and to jack up performance. According to them, somehow Denuvo magically runs everything in a VM with additional instructions for 0 CPU costs. The Denuvo defense force will come in here and scream Denuvo has no impact because they don't understand even the basics about how computers work. When they stepped down to 1080p the GPU had more than enough power to handle it and the Denuvo version had a lower framerate as a result. In 4K there was no framerate difference because things were GPU bottlenecked. The Doom pre and post Denuvo tests were actually quite telling here. With a game like Monster Hunter World that is actually surprisingly demanding on the CPU it will hit some people with weaker CPUs. Pretty much everyone had sufficient CPU overhead to run the game, it isn't very demanding. Now with Sonic Mania, that means the game will use more CPU power, but you will probably not see a performance impact. No, but the fact that Denuvo runs the entire game in an obfuscated virtual machine does. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
